Eagles Oddballs: 1993 McDonald's Card Set
In the Fall of 1993, the NFL partnered with McDonald's restaurants to distribute Game Day football cards in their various team markets. For three weeks, collectors across the Tri-State area scrambled to assemble the Eagles 18-card set - which were individually available at participating stores.
The team sets were distributed across three, 8"x11" sheets. Each sheet contained six, 4.25"x2.5" cards separated by a light perforation. The card fronts featured a color player photo with black and white background - with many photos extending into the white borders that surrounded the picture. Team and player name were listed in "Kelly Green" along the bottom edge (above the logos of the NFL, Game Day and McDonalds). Card backs have a color headshot of the player, their height/weight, etc and either a text biography or career stats. The cards are numbered.
There was also an 18 "All Star" card sub-set, one of which was Randall Cunningham. The card used a similar photo of the Eagles quarterback as in the team set - the notable difference is his jersey color of green instead of white.
